Our very own Lynnae at Being Frugal was interviewed for a CNN article on extravagant birthday parties for children. Just think we knew her before she was famous! Check out her article on her 70s party for her daughter.
Lending Club recently announced that they were taking on no new lenders during a quiet time for SEC registration. It’s created quite a buzz within the Personal Finance blog world with lots of differing opinions. I am not a member so have been keeping up from afar. Sometimes it’s a nice place to be. The Budget Buster meme is appearing all over the place. I have had fun trying to track all the posts down. Other than the three that I tagged initially, I have searched out a few others;

Some Personal PF Buzz
Mrs. Micah is disappointed with Hamburger Helper. You would think that they could put enough rice in the box to make a meal. Isn’t rice supposed to be the ‘cheap’ part? To help Mrs. Micah out, here are some links to some easy dishes that are MUCH better than HH.
Frugal Dad posted a tribute to his wife on their ten year anniversary. It reminded me of why it’s really important to have the same goals in a marriage.
Peter at Bible Money Matters asks us to say a prayer for his wife. She is in the hospital and he has been keeping us updated from his blog. We are praying for her, Peter. He also has a guest post from Quest for Four Pillars on concentrating on saving money.
Bouncing Back From Bankruptcy shared that her house was a disaster zone. Boy, can I identify with this one.
Trent at The Simple Dollar shares some thoughts about his grandmother’s finances and whether he should intrude. It’s hard to watch someone you care about make financial mistakes and not get involved.
It’s been a busy week here on the farm and I have been working on the yard, garden and some home improvements.

Thanks for the link! Yeah, I used to have a real problem with busting my budget, but since I don’t have one, it was really hard to pick! The last point (#5) was the only one that I still honestly have a problem with
