		<description>I do about the same thing. Only I add grains also. Barley, rices, dried beans and dried herbs.  If you garden, surplus tomatoes freeze well whole in a brown paper bag. And I dry most of my surplus garden produce for just such soups and stews.    I tend to use the pressure cooker to get them started well, and then put in the crockpot to finish off.  Yummy!</description>
