Hooray! My Income Taxes Are Done

I finally sat down and did my taxes today. I have been dreading it for weeks and putting it off because it meant slogging through Quickbooks to make sure everything was correct and then digging through records to find all the miscellaneous stuff. Actually doing the taxes isn’t too difficult or time consuming as I use TurboTax online for that part but finding all the information and organizing it took me all day.
I swear that this year, I am going to get all the little miscellaneous stuff organized. I guess I can put it in Quickbooks even though I don’t have a separate checking account for it and just make dummy checks for the expenses. This will help with my notary business and the small amount of ebay selling that I do. I have closed my ebay store but that is another story for another day.
Dreams of Spending my Refund
I can start thinking about all the things that I could buy with my tax refund. I could get a new couch or buy the computer for the business or put up my garden fence. Oh yes, I can think of a thousand things that I would like to spend it on but I am going to do the boring thing; pay bills and boost my emergency fund up. I can pay off another credit card and that will only leave me with one consumer loan.
So what are you doing with your refund? Spending it, saving it or paying off bills?
