There are 100 other places in the budget I can scrimp, but buying lesser quality foods is not worth it in the end.

Quite simply Phillip, when you threaten not to pay an elderly person’s only source of income, it’s a very serious threat and for people who rely on Social Security it is life threatening. I am not a Republican. I don’t believe that Social Security retirement is an entitlement because we paid into it for most of our lives. We were given no choice. No one asked us if we wanted to pay it and now politicians act like they are doing us a kindness by paying it.

I absolutely agree that the government needs to cut costs and there are so many places where it could be cut but we also need a fair tax system where EVERYONE pays their fair share.

All they are is concerned about keeping their jobs instead on doing the right things and accepting compromises. All they need to do is meet in the middle and get it over with, but i feel like they cant even do that these days. Everything is so partisan, they don’t try to represent the people, only their own party.

I have to ask how you get to president obama threating elderly. was it not the tea party saying entitlements had to be dealt with? wasnt it boner and the other young gun republicans demanding we cut spending? not the big budget items that do not have a seprate deduction on the pay check such as dod and doj. nope they wanted to cut benefits people paid into. i havent went back and checked but what were your posts concerning the debt ceiling being raised in 06? were was the republican out rage then? not raising the debt ceiling and telling your creditors sorry cant make the payment is just stupid. what do we do in our personal lives? wed dont fire the nurse for granny as our only means of paying off our bills. instead we get a second job or find a way of increasing our pay. kinda like the snow flake principal. think of that as taxes. and those taxes cant come from those that put money back into the syatem which is low income to midincome people. it has to come from those who some would claim are the job creators.i say if you shop jobs over sea’s you loose your tax breaks. you bring good paying jobs back to the state’s then you get your tax breaks. will this solve all our problems? no and that is what i have seen from obama. he has said and offered to cut spending. and yes grandma/grandpa will have to be effected. i mean that was why they had big families right?

what i dont understand is why we as Americans havent realized that we need to take care of our parents and grandparents when they need it. be it through our fica taxes or they move in with us or both.

MLM is like most other businesses. You get out of it what you put into it and it totally depends on what company it is. If all of the profit is in obtaining downlines and training, then you are right and it is difficult to succeed. However, in Shaklee the products are always the focus. The company spends millions in clinical studies and product improvements. I don’t earn millions but I do earn an income from it and I have not sponsored anyone for years.

MLM is definitely a scam. Success rate is 0.06%. Talk to all those who dropped out, ask for info such as time used, amount spend, net profit, etc. The P&L is >99% loss. Money are made not from selling the products. Most of the money are from overiding commission from “sales” to downline distributors. In other words, the more downlines who are motivated, the more overiding commission. Hence there is more incentives to deceive (MLM people call it “recruit”) more people into joining and continue to motivate them.

The millionaires uplines are the early signup and lived on the losses suffered by the downlines. This is MLM. Talk to your pastor, monk, guru and ask them if this is right.

kpl, It was tricky. Actually I threw the first batch away which was the larger part and used the basic recipe for the second one with olive oil instead of sesame oil. I always use recipes as a guide and usually substitute or eliminate some ingredients. It gets me into trouble sometimes and sometimes it’s a pleasant surprise. In this case, I mostly needed something that was acceptable enough to finish the cole slaw so I could take some liberties.

How on earth did you fit 2.5 cups of oil and around 1.25 cups of egg into one cup of mayo? Also, the recipe link promised to taste great points to a page calling for 3 eggs, whey, palm sugar, and sesame oil. It sounds nonstandard to say the least… is this the page to which you meant to link?
