I always consider brand also as the main criteria while shopping online. I use Nextag to compare prices. Thanks for providing a couple of other sites through which we can make price comparisons.

I don’t care what you say, you can always and I mean always find it on ebay cheaper. Seriously test it out for yourself. Okay so maybe ebay does not have but than you check craiglist and I guarantee one of those two places have what your looking for.

Jeremy, you are correct. You do have to pay attention. Free Shipping is one of the reasons I like Amazon and even if it doesn’t qualify for free shipping, the shipping price on all of their books is the set by Amazon.

I too hate dealing with the crowds during the busy shopping season. These are all very good tips of how to save money while shopping online. I have tried buying used books online, but unfortunately I didn’t pay enough attention to where they were shipping from. With the shipping price, it was very close to the price of new books. So you have to be careful even if you do follow these tips.

I totally agree. I hate dealing with crowded places and long lines and that is exactly what happens during Black Friday. A lot of big retailers now offer “cyber monday” where they’ll discount stuff online and possibly even offer free shipping, which i love!
