Cut the roll in half to make 2 small rolls. Then cut 4 slits in each end equal distance apart. Now fold up on the slits and interlock them, and it will make a bottom for the pot. It's not water tight at the bottom, so will drain some. Also, when planting, you can open the bottom back up and the roots will grow on down.
